Rev your Bev

We celebrated Rev your Bev day at lunch.  This is a statewide promotion to raise awareness about the incredible health benefits you can see by making water your number one beverage of choice.  At lunch, all Crozet students had the chance to sample water infused with the flavors of blueberry, raspberry, and blackberry.  The water in the coolers and our cups even took on a pinkish/reddish color from all the fruit juices.

We had three different types of ghosts in the gym we were trying to capture in three different ways.

10 years of QuickStart Tennis at Crozet

Lynda Harrell (the tennis lady) came to visit our Knd, 1st, and 2nd graders to help them celebrate 10 years of QuickStart Tennis at our school. She talked to them about how tennis players show kindness.  Each student got a 10 year anniversary shirt and then got to play some tennis.

Reptile Awareness Day

We celebrated Reptile Awareness Day by playing Crocodiles of Lake Crozet where students pretended they were crocodiles.  We also played Zookeeper and students got to choose what type of turtle or tortoise they wanted to be.  In the next round, students had to choose a type of lizard or snake to be.

Buddy PE

For Buddy PE Day, each upper grade classroom (3rd-5th) partnered up with a lower grade classroom (headstart-2nd). Each student was given one or two buddies from the other class and was able to spend a few minutes talking and finding out about their new buddy.  Then, with their buddy as their teammate, we played a game of Submarine.
