Winter activities (reindeer tag)

Playing Reindeer Tag to get in the winter mood.

Ice skating

We have been ice skating in PE.  We've tried going forward, backward, and doing spins.

Sandwich day

We celebrated national sandwich day by making paninis (hot, pressed sandwiches) PE style.

Buddy day in PE

We had our first buddy PE day.  We talked to our buddy and found out about them and shared about ourselves. We played over/under/around.  We finished with a game of Submarine.

PE Buddy Day

For our final PE Buddy Day of this school year, we had some talk time to find out about our grade level buddy and then teamed up with them to play Submarine.

Water balloon toss

The water balloon toss was our follow-up to Jump Rope for Heart.  For every $25 raised by a student, he or she got a water balloon to throw at the teachers.  This year we had 295 water balloons flying across the hardtop and some wet teachers.

Tennis Day

Our whole school celebrated Tennis Day by playing tennis on our kid-sized QuickStart tennis courts. The entire first grade got a special treat of playing tennis with some experts and then each first grade student got to keep the tennis racquet they used plus three balls to help them get started on playing tennis for a lifetime.  A big thank you to QuickStart Tennis of Central Virginia for their generous donation of tennis racquets, balls, and mini-posters of the UVA tennis teams.

Eagles in Action!

During Community Night, we were folk dancing in the music room with Ms. Brown.  We learned dances from Mexico, Russia, and Israel.

Congratulations!

Our school raised $ 8, 315 during our Jump Rope for Heart event.  All of this goes to the American Heart Association.  Way to go Crozet!

Eagles in Action!

We celebrated Chinese New Year and the year of the rooster by using PE chopsticks to visit the food buffet and carry beef and broccoli, fortune cookies, and cups of hot tea.
