We are challenging our Crozet families to participate in the Move2Health Challenge! Move2Health is a community-wide campaign that encourages everyone in Albemarle County, Charlottesville, and several
other local counties to improve their health and physical fitness. The first challenge is to take on physical
activity for 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week. The challenge begins on
September 6 and goes until December 31. There is a kick off planned on
September 6, 2013 at Fridays After Five at the nTelos Wireless Pavilion on the
Charlottesville downtown mall. The kick
off event will have a special guest in UVA baseball coach Brian O'Connor.
To participate, individuals sign up at http://www.move2healthcentralva.org/.

Dear
Parent/Guardian:
Welcome
back to another school year at Crozet!
We
are very excited to have your child in our Physical Education classes. We
are charged up and ready to create an environment, which enables all students
to experience the joy of physical activity and discover the value of personal
wellness as a part of daily living.
The
National Association for Sport and Physical Education (NASPE) encourages
children to choose an active lifestyle that includes running, jumping, and
playing for a minimum of 60 minutes every day. We encourage our students to get
off the couch and MOVE. A healthy heart is vital to a healthy mind and a
healthy life.
Don’t forget that your child
needs to have athletic shoes every day that they have P.E. Also, students are more than welcome to bring
a bottle of water to class.
